My first Pocket Letter

Today I'd like to share with you my first ever pocket letter. I made it for  Ink Stained Roni's   Pocket Letter swap, I hadn't heard of them before. But let me tell you they are so much fun to create and receive!

I went all inky for this one, I had so much fun.

Basically for those who haven't created one before, its like 9 ATC's either with a connecting theme or not.

It was such fun to pull out all my lady stamps and have a play.

Then once you've done that- you fill the back pockets with goodies and then wrap it up!

Such Fun!!!

a 100th Birthday Card

I was happy to be asked to make a card for a lady turning 100! I haven't made one before- a pretty cool thing to be asked to do.

I knew straight away I wanted to make a pretty card, using soft colours.

I've stamped the image, and then watercolored using pencils, I've also added some watercoloring to the background, and stamped some scripted french text, to add a bit of detailing.

Also a bow and a clingy 100 ;-)

I love how its turned out- hopefully so will the recipient.

I'm entering the card into the following challenges:

Just Add Ink-" V"  violet on this card ( I know I'm pushing the limits ladies - have a heart :-) )

Craft Stamper magazine- Text.

Paper Sweeties - Photo inspiration- the pinks and mauves.

Valentine card

A valentine card with a graphic clean feel - I actually love how this card has turned out. Using again some of my new Unity stamps- smile background with sponging Distress inks, stencils and a spritz of smooch.

The photo isn't great- the light is poor in the morning at my house- til the sun comes around- and its going to be another scorcher of a day- we are currently having a heart wave here :-)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

The Card Concept - Clean and graphic ( I think- guess could be mixed media stye too ) - inspired by the hearts.

Have a great read of the week everyone.

New Moon February

February's New Moon is already here! Hali's  prompt this month is Feeling What you Feel and Freedom. Once I started creating I couldn't stop- 3 journal pages.
I haven't created anything in my journal for probably over 6 months, it felt great- very freeing.

Created with Acrylic paint, Distress inks, stencils pen and ink.

Beneath each photo, I've shared some of the words that were channelled at the time.
My other blog, contains the words in more detail.

Her Heart Longed to be Where it Belonged ... Home.

The Divine Feminine languished inside her- waiting to be awoken, her light grew Brighter.

There was a Storm brewing in her Heart, she waited and watched it grow.

Have a Heart

Here's my second post for today- easy one layer card, with sponging, stencilling and stamps to create the background. Featuring Bernadette Girl Unity Stamp.
Just love how this has turned out. Coloured using Distress inks and a blender pen.

I'm entering this at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Have a Heart

Lotus Tag

I'm absolutely thrilled with my new Unity Stamps. I had time today for a quick play and created this funky tag. I just adore this lotus stamp.

Background created by sponging, spraying with Dylusions , stencilling and little touch of my fav go to, gold acrylic paint.
We are having an absolute crazy heat wave here at the moment in my corner of New Zealand, so I'm enjoying my bright colours still, hoping it brings you some warmth if you are still in a chilly place- though I hear El Nino is doing crazy weather things all over.

I'm entering this into the following Challenges :

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Ray of Sunshine- bring some sunshine

Pink Walking Page

Just sharing a quick pocket page this evening, featuring the time late last year when we did a sponsored 10km walk for breast cancer- it was a great evening, and more importantly we raised $355 !!

The page obviously had to feature a lot of pink!
