Carnival Lovers

I've made this for hubby- it's our anniversary next month. What could be more perfect than the lovers from Rogue Redhead Designs Carnival Dreams,  it's romantic and quirky. I think this might be another of my All time fav stamps lol.

I've stamped the background using Behind the Scene stamps: script and the music notes.
I have stamped directly onto the Kraft cardstock and inked with Walnut ink, to get an aged look. The sentiment is from the Snow Hugs set.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Notecard Misses

Here are 4 notecards I've made up using scraps of pretty patterned paper and the ladies from Rogue Redhead Designs:- Milliner Misses and Midge from This N That.

Midge is probably my fav, she's a bit bigger than the other Misses, and I like that, I think she looks fab dressed in green.

And finally this pretty gal, she's got a bit more sparkle than the others ;-) which is hard to see in the photos, I used glitter gel pens to give her a bit more definition.

Enjoy your week.

Jakey Layout

12 x 12 Layout

We've got a fab theme at Craft Room Challenge for this next fortnight- Stamp your own background, our former teamie Nikki chose the theme, and even though she's not creating with us any more we still miss her- so we decided to play her theme anyway :-)

I've created a 12 x 12 layout starting with a plain piece of Gray cardstock and then adding a little bit of text paper and then some stamping, a pretty minimal page for me, but I love how it's turned out.

We have another great sponsor with us this fortnight The Stamp Man who will give the lucky winner of the random draw £10 to spend at their online shop.

The Stamp Man

As always can't wait to see what you guys create.

National Scrapbook Month post 2

My Gecko Galz posts got mixed round the wrong way, this was the page featured yesterday, and the one I blogged yesterday is featured today ;)

Wings Over Wairarapa

This is another hybrid page, here's the digital part, this 8 x 8 layout is made with all Gecko Galz papers and stamps.

Digital Wings LO

I then printed and added this Layout to a 12 x 12 page adding embellishments, tissue tape etc.

here's a close up:

My embellishing continues to be inspired and influenced by Finnabair :-)

I really wanted to create a French Country look, with the papers and the embellishments, I'm really happy with how this page turned out.

I'm entering this layout over at Unruly Paper Arts where the readers Quest 1, is more than 5 flowers ;-)

Wish you were Here

I say it every fortnight but gosh doesn't it come round quick? You wowed us once again with your sentimental creations, making Mervi's job as tricky as ever :-)

For our next challenge at Craft Room Challenge, Hazel wants to see postcards inspired by summer holidays and travel. The postcards need to be 6 x 4 inches, and must be stand alone, ie not attached to another project like a card, or scrapbook LO.

I went all Parisian ;) for my creation.

Paris Postcard

This is a combination of techniques and combos of images and stash finds. I started with a 6 x 4 chipboard base, I then added Tim Holtz tissue paper and painted with acrylic paint . I then stamped some Parisian Franking marks ( you can't see them - they kinda got lost in the next processes ;) ).
I then embossed using one of the new embossing folders again from Tim Holtz.
I then added the collage elements, using some of the Crafty Individual images (our sponsor for this challenge) and a Marie image from my stash.
I then added the flowers and bits and bobs, and blended them all together with more paint.

Finally I added beeswax.

As I mentioned our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Individuals.

Daring Adventure Layout

I'm just sneaking this into Just Add Inks Scrapbook Challenge - Siblings- this is my second entry and is another Digital page created with Stampin' Up's MDS. All elements are also SU, and there are a lot of layers on this baby ;)

Colonial Knob Walk LO

It's pretty cool that you can chose a Layout with a pre-photo ready layout- which is what I did for this page as I like the idea of a circle photo.

Tomorrow, I'll print this out and attach it to a 12 x 12 paper or cardstock and decorate it a bit more, ready for my 2013 yearbook.
