Watercolour Notes

Here's a quick and simple CAS card, which though easy looks great. I love how the colours just pop off the paper. The base for the card is heavy watercolour paper. I've then sprayed with 2 Dylusion inks and gold smooch. I then have stamped the trees from the Rogue Redhead Designs Nature Notes Set, using black Archival ink. The sentiment comes from Nature Notes too.

Monochrome at Craft Room

It's time for the second Craft Room Challenge  of 2013, we had some lovely Valentine entries and as always you've not made it easy for Nikki to pick her Top 3.

The lovely Esther has chosen a Monochrome theme, this just means your creation should be shades of one colour, usually with black added. It doesn't have to be black and white, the Dt has excelled themselves this week- I think we liked this theme- I hope you have as much fun as we did creating :-)

I've gone all green for my Art Journal page,  I guess one of my goals this year was to get more creative, and I'm loving my journal.

To create my background, I've sprayed using Dylusions, added tissue tape, and Green Arcylic paint. I've then stamped various images from numerous sets in 2 shades of green. I've then added some more images using Archival Black ink. Finally adding the letters and some silver smooch, ( a bit naughty as it's not green - shhhhhh).

This challenge is sponsored by Tando Creative, they have some great chipboard items so make sure you check them out.

Circus Star

The theme over at Sunday Postcard Art this week is Stars. I've gone with a circus postcard this week, the yellow is such a departure for me- I rarely use this colour- but I love how it's so bright :-)

My Honey Valentine

I love these bears from the Getting Grizzly Stamp Plate from Rogue Redhead Designs.

I think this bear is perfect for a Valentine's card- so that's what I've made. I have stamped the bear on Kraft and then coloured him using my Prismacolor pencils. I then gave him a heart to hold, which I just popped up onto a foam dimensional. I've also used one of the sentiments from the set.
I love how it's turned out as a more masculine Valentine card.

Valentine Case Study

Well this is my third and last post for today, gotta love the holidays combined with a creative burst :-)

I can't remember the last time I played along at Case Study, but today's the day. There's some real pretty Valentine inspiration from the current muse Amerber Kemp-Gerstel and the rest of the Team.
This is my take on her pretty heart card.

Have a great monday.

Toucan ATC

It's been an age since I made anything smaller than a Tag. So when the Jungle challenge over at Wicked Wednesday ATC's caught my eye- I thought Yes lets play!

I made this ATC by spraying the background, stamping a palm tree and mounting on bright pink cardstock. I then stamped the toucan on another piece, coloured him using my Prismacolor pencils, then  fussy cut him out and popped him on foam tape.
The stamps are from Gina K- Theresa Momber's Aloha set.

Elle Revait en Francais

I was thrilled to have my Winter Elegance postcard picked for the Sunday Postcard Art Sampler.

This week at Sunday postcard art the theme is Vive la France. I've gone all pink and lacy for this one and I've called it Elle Revait en Francais- She Dreams in French.

I've used various digital elements to create this weeks postcard.

have a great week everyone.

Joie de Vivre

I've made this very pink and glittery tag with Unruly Paperarts current Parisian issue in mind. Who doesn't love Paris and Marie Antoinette? I had great fun creating this tag, by inking and stamping the tag and then adding the German scrap, the collage elements then glitter and ribbon.

There's quite a bit of texture and dimension too :-)

I'm entering this tag over at Unruly Paperarts Reader Quest 2- Joie De Vivre.

Valentines at Craft Room

It's our first challenge of 2013 over at Craft room challenge, and it's time for Valentine's. The talented  Nikki's chosen our first theme, please make sure you check out all the DT stunning work.

For my card, I've gone back to an old style of card I used to make- sponging and collaging my own stamps. Feels like ages since I made a card like this :-) I've used a Stampin' Up set Affection Collection to create the background on the card stock layers. I sponged using Victorian Velvet and stamped some images with that ink and some with Tea Dye. My main image is from Gecko Galz.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Individuals, they have a cool new website and some great new stamp sets available so make sure you check them out.

I look forward to seeing your creations.

I'm entering my card over at Simon says Stamp and Show- where the theme is Embrace the Old. My card is vintage style made in my old style which it's been ages since I created like this :-)

Is the Door to Your Heart Open?

Here's the first page of my new art journal that my lovely hubby got me for Christmas. I've masked and sprayed with Dylusions. I've then stamped the background with various Rogue Redhead Design stamps. I added more detail with rub ons, tissue tape and letters.

I love how it's turned out, I'm really hoping to get more journalling done this year.

I'm entering this over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges, where they want us to surprise them,- I surprised myself with this piece so I hope it makes them happy :)

1st tag of 2013

Pretty keen to have a go at all of Tim's Tags this year, here's his first tag of 2013.  As usual I don't have all the needed stash, and for me the best bit- is always the inspiration which starts as I see his tag and off I wander off on my own track :)

This morning my bored middle child (it's summer hols here in NZ) took apart my old camera- so that and Tim's tag was the start of my inspiration.

I added the wings and coloured with pearl ex powder, I love the idea of stamping onto the ribbon and all the distressing.

I love the camera circuit board and bits on there- the photo as usual doesn't do it justice, but I love my first Time tag of 2013 :-)

Be Curious

So what better way to start the New Year than with some crafting. Here's a digital 6 x 4 postcard, I've created for Sunday postcard art. It's been ages since I had chance to play along with them :-)

The current theme is Open theme- yay!

I'm hoping to do some more digital creations over this year, as I love the ease of adding layers and the bright colours.

Postcard created using sets from Scrapgirls, created on My Memories version 4.
