Winter Women in Summer......

I'm still enjoying this new release from Rogue Redhead Designs- Winter Women. It is however, Summer here in new Zealand, and the last few days we are actually seeing the sun here in Upper Hutt, I reckon it must be nudging a glorious 30 degrees today- :-)

I've been recently just dancing creating some simpler vintage style cards. Today, I'm sharing this pretty in pink card made with the new Winter Women Stamps- just adore these so pretty.

Colour Challenge at Craft Room

It's the lovely Amber's first turn at hosting over at Craft Room Challenge, and she's chosen this stunning colour combo challenge- Just Divine!

I decided to use the flowers as inspiration too, and I've used promarkers to colour in my Aqualegia or Columbine flower.

Women canvas

women 12 x 12 canvas

Here's the first canvas I did during my recent online painting month, it's just small  a 12 x 12. I love the colour that I've managed to squeeze on here :-)

This painting is the first of mine to actually leave my studio and find it's way onto a wall- it's hanging on in my best friends house, which makes me real happy :-)

Ribbons and Lace

It's Annie's first time hosting our challenge over at Craft room challenge, and she's chosen Ribbons and Lace as her theme. Lots of scope here for some pretty fun. The Dt have always done a great job, so make sure you check out all the loveliness.

London Tag

For my creation I've created this British inspired tag, the background is sponged and spritzed and then over stamped, to create some layering.

I've dyed the seam binding again with distress inks, and spritzed and heat dried to soften it all up.

The main stamp is from Crafty Individuals, who are also our generous sponsors this challenge.

Missing in Action?- what's Deb been doing?

So I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front haven't I?
It was so busy at the end of last year and this year so far I've been concentrating on my art rather than my crafting.

I've been doing an online course painting the Feminine with Connie at Dirty Footprints Studio, it's been great, a little intense in places, but it's been amazing to create with an amazing group of women.

I've done a lot of painting and journalling over january, I'll be sharing with you some of the images over the next few weeks.
I'm not going to share my titles or thought processes.... just enjoy the images :-)
