Cup of Tea?

Gosh, I know I've said it before but doesn't that fortnight come round quick?

It's Zoe's turn to host at Craft Room Challenge, and she's chosen the theme "From Me to You". So she wants to see heaps of gifts.

I've gone with a simple gift box and thank you card, that I've made for a new friend who's been helping out with some stuff over the last few weeks. I've used a Tanda Stamp set- Retro Women 2. This stamp had never seen ink- and yet it's so cool. The little gift box, is full of individually wrapped teabags, in fancy English Flavours, that are expensive here in New Zealand, so a treat for my English Friend :-)

Our sponsor is Tanda Stamps, who sadly have gone out of business, but we still have some stamps to give you, and the winner will also win Zoe's DT piece- which is stunning- make sure you check it out.

Some Like it Hot!

With Christmas only 5 weeks away! EEk!! I've made  a start on my stocking fillers. Here's a notepad I've made using one of the latest sheets from the Bombshell Collage sheets by Gecko Galz.

I covered the scallop circle chipboard with fabric and then added Marilyn and then some prettiness, love how it's turned out. Made it hard to wrap- this one's off to the UK for a family member :-)

Asian Delight

Zoe has chosen our next theme at the Craft Room Challenge. And she wants us to go all Asian influence- I was spoilt for choice - as I have heaps of asian style stamps and papers. But I decided to use one of the peacock stamps from our sponsor's Tanda Stamps Art Nouveau set.

I created this little Asian gift box by using a gift bag die- but instead of paper I used some of my old chinese pj fabric :-) I stuck it to some card with the Sissix sticky paper stuff, and then cut as normal- I just love how it's turned out. I then die cut the peacock and leaf in blue glitter paper, added the stamped peacock tag and ribbon, and it's ready for someone special.

I think this might be a popular theme with some of you- and so as always I can't wait to see your Asian Creations. And don't forget you have the chance to win some

Don't forget to check out the other DT creations, they are stunning!

Egg Box

We have new neighbours, and we wanted to make them feel welcome, but what to give someone you've never met? So hubby had the idea of fresh free range eggs from our hens, and then he said "you'll be able to pretty them up" so I worked my magic on this egg box, and I love how it's turned out.

I've used pretty paper and stamped using an egg image to produce the belly band for the egg box, add a sentiment and some ribbon and I love how it's got a homey feel.
The card is brayered, after clear embossing the image.

Our new neighbours were over the moon :-)
Have a great sunday
