I'm really enjoying getting back into creating and blogging, and getting those creative juices going with challenges. I've also been buying some new stamps along the way. I'm really enjoying my new Close to My Heart sets.

Roses and Romance at Craft Room Challenge

It's my turn to choose our theme over at Craft Room Challenge and I'm confessing to being a hopeless romantic, I love everything about Roses and feel they epitomise all the good stuff in Love.

Wish you were Here

I say it every fortnight but gosh doesn't it come round quick? You wowed us once again with your sentimental creations, making Mervi's job as tricky as ever :-)

For our next challenge at Craft Room Challenge, Hazel wants to see postcards inspired by summer holidays and travel. The postcards need to be 6 x 4 inches, and must be stand alone, ie not attached to another project like a card, or scrapbook LO.

I went all Parisian ;) for my creation.

Paris Postcard

This is a combination of techniques and combos of images and stash finds. I started with a 6 x 4 chipboard base, I then added Tim Holtz tissue paper and painted with acrylic paint . I then stamped some Parisian Franking marks ( you can't see them - they kinda got lost in the next processes ;) ).

I then embossed using one of the new embossing folders again from Tim Holtz.

I then added the collage elements, using some of the Crafty Individual images (our sponsor for this challenge) and a Marie image from my stash.

I then added the flowers and bits and bobs, and blended them all together with more paint.

Finally I added beeswax.

Unruly Coaster Swap

Time flies when you're having fun- back in February you will of seen my coasters for the Unruly Yahoo Group swap, the theme was Dream, you can see my coasters Here.

I just love how even with the same size (4 x 4) and theme to play with, all the creations are totally different, I love swaps ;)  Just have to find a special place to show these off now.

Spring Fling Art Journal Page

Over at Gecko Galz through the whole month of March, Leanne has been sharing a whole heap of Lovely Spring projects from the DT.

Today I'm sharing my project.

It was pretty hard for me to be Spring inspired as we are currently enjoying a sunny Autumn ;)

To create my page I lightly gessoed over the page, added doilies from my stash, then used a whole heap of lovely Gecko Galz collage images, which for me shouted Spring. I stuck them on my page. I then added some colour using Dylusions sprays, which I softened by mixing with the still wet Gesso on my page. I added some Prima flowers, a rub on sentiment.

Dreamy Coasters

Here are 4 coasters I've made for the Unruly Yahoo Group swap, the theme was Dreams.

I started with cork backed coasters that i picked up cheap from the $2 shop. I gessoed, and sprayed then with Dylusions Sprays. I then stamped the stars. I used the new Artful Ladies collage sheet from Gecko Galz, for my Dream ladies.
Finally I added some pretty stuff from my stash and the words I hand stamped.

Swaps are always fun, but as this is an intentional swap I can't wait to see what happy mail I get back  :-)

Valentine Case Study

Well this is my third and last post for today, gotta love the holidays combined with a creative burst :-)

I can't remember the last time I played along at Case Study, but today's the day. There's some real pretty Valentine inspiration from the current muse Amerber Kemp-Gerstel and the rest of the Team.
This is my take on her pretty heart card.

Is the Door to Your Heart Open?

Here's the first page of my new art journal that my lovely hubby got me for Christmas. I've masked and sprayed with Dylusions. I've then stamped the background with various Rogue Redhead Design stamps. I added more detail with rub ons, tissue tape and letters.

I love how it's turned out, I'm really hoping to get more journalling done this year.

I'm entering this over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges, where they want us to surprise them,- I surprised myself with this piece so I hope it makes them happy :)

Be Curious

So what better way to start the New Year than with some crafting. Here's a digital 6 x 4 postcard, I've created for Sunday postcard art. It's been ages since I had chance to play along with them :-)

The current theme is Open theme- yay!

I'm hoping to do some more digital creations over this year, as I love the ease of adding layers and the bright colours.

Tag You're It!

It was lovely to see all your French creations at Craft Room Challenge, how quickly the next challenge comes around. The lovely Hazel has chosen Tags, so lets see those tags. The DT have come up with a lovely selection of tags.

For my tag, I've gone all romantic and vintage, I've used tissue tape, some collage images and a Gibson Girl stamp from Flonz.

Some Like it Hot!

With Christmas only 5 weeks away! EEk!! I've made  a start on my stocking fillers. Here's a notepad I've made using one of the latest sheets from the Bombshell Collage sheets by Gecko Galz.

I covered the scallop circle chipboard with fabric and then added Marilyn and then some prettiness, love how it's turned out. Made it hard to wrap- this one's off to the UK for a family member :-)

Le Mysterieux Carnival

Bonjour, mes amies. le Mysterieux Carnival is in town. 

Did you receive your Silver Ticket darlings?

Le Mysterieux Carnival- Spooky Fun.

 They were gracious enough to accept my invitation to come and play in my haunted woods next to mon petit Chateau.

 I'm also taking the opportunity to hold my annual Carnivale Masquerade Ball. Where only the best dressed will join in the spooky fun- who's behind the mask?

We walk through the gate into the haunted woods.

The Carnival awaits.
