3D Christmas Cards

Hi There, It's such a busy time of year - but I finally got chance to play with Kaisercraft Glisten Collection; so elegant and lovely to use for all sorts of Christmas crafts. But you could create these 3D cards using any paper you have in your stash.

Using  those wooden trays that chipboard is often sold in, I created these 2 3D Christmas cards, that can be used as wall hangings or door greetings.

I had such fun creating them, and I think they just make a change to give your loved ones something they can keep.

I also used a whole heap of Prima flowers from my stash.

Love that Black, gold and red colour combo.

I'm nearly on track now for Christmas - just 6 sleeps to go !!!

Christmas Tags

Here are some quick easy Christmas Gift tags I made for some homemade gifts I created- candles and bath bombs etc.

As its summer here in New Zealand- while I wanted the tags to be obviously Christmasy - I didn't want yo use traditional colours- so I opted for pinks and purples.
Tag created easily, with simple sponging, asking and stamping, using Distress inks, and stamps from Stampin Up!
Once the gifts were wrapped in the pink cellophane the tags with some gold bells really rocked a summer christmas look I think.

I'm entering this over at the Craft Stamper Magazine challenge- Christmas .

Christmas Advent Block

It's been nearly a year since I blogged on here!
I've been doing all sorts of stuff..... just not blogging.....

But I'm back with my latest 3D altered creation- and advent block.
I've wanted to create one of these for a while, and this year I finally did :-)

Allsorts of goodies on here:

I've used mostly Graphic 45 papers - both Christmas Carol and 12 Days of Christmas, Each box has been inked with Ranger Tea Die Distress ink to age it a bit.
Some of the boxes have Chipboard on from Graphic 45 Christmas Carol. The centre part of the block is stuffed with Prima flowers and a little chapel from Retro Art Cafe, covered in faux Gold leaf, and a little artificial candle inside.
I had such fun creating this, and the kids found and old are enjoying the goodies in the boxes.

I'm entering this into the following challenges :

Papervines Christmas Challenge

Unruly Readers Art Quest : Gingerbread houses and Candy Canes,

Shabby Tea Room: O Christmas Tree

Happy Seasons Greetings to you all.

Craft Room: Use Your Scraps

Christmas Tags

Well my Christmas tags for the new Craft Room Challenge of Use your scraps is perfect for today, cause it's snowing down to 500 metres here in Wellington, New Zealand.
I love the prettiness of snow, and it is one of the few things I miss about England- snow falling and the pretty snow covered trees.
We had snow down to sea level in 2011, I'm ever hopeful it will happen again this year ;)

Now onto our new Challenge:
Esther has chosen the fab theme of use your scraps, I have a lovely box filled with things I think I'll use one day ;-) as I'm sure alot of you do too.
So I went rumudging  and came up with a heap of Christmassy scraps, and so here are the tags.

Our Sponsor is Stamp Addicts, who have some cool stuff so make sure you check them and the DT creations out.

O Come Let us Adore Him

I've steadily working on my Christmas craft list, here's one of the Christmas cards I've made this weekend. I've embossed the image with black and a little glitter and then sponged the sky.
I love the sentiments from this Stampin' Up! Set as it reminds me of singing carols in church when I was at school :-)

I'm entering this over at Just Add Ink where their theme Music.
