Ronan!
My mom loves!!!! Ronan Keating, so when I heard he was playing in Wellington I knew I had to take her. She had a great time, hard to get a photo but it's all about memories in this case rather than a great photo. Here's my page- it's a 12 x 12.
This is my page for the new scrapbook challenge at Crafters Anonymous and also my February page for Let's Scrap 2012.
I hope you all have a great week.

Let Them Drink Tea
We had a guest class tonight, and the lovely Tania Cordie, fought powercuts to bring us this super cool class.
It's a teacup box, I went with Marie Antoinette, and just played with Let them eat cake, though apparently she never said it...
Anyways, I think it makes a cute gift box, perfect for a tea drinking friend.

Angel Star
Tonight at Tia's first class of the year she showed us how to make these cool decor scrapbook hearts.
I couldn't decide what photos to put on mine, so I used some angel images and turned it into a kind of angel dream catcher.
Have a great week.

Heritage Layout
The theme I've chosen for the 2nd Crafters Anonymous Scrapbook Challenge is Heritage. Some people are frightened of scrapping old family photos.
The key thing to remember is to NEVER use the original photo.
I have all my old family photos scanned into my computer and then backed on to Flashdrives. This means I can print them out any size I want but also again and again.
Secondly by scanning them in, it means that all family members can have copies of these treasured photos, but also if more than one person has them if something awful was to happen like a fire, we would still have these family heirlooms.
I also think that colour's important when scrapping these old sepia or black and white photos, sticking to all browns as is common, I think potentially does little to showcase these photos. I like to use some or lots of colour on my heritage layouts.
This photo is of my maternal grandma it was taken to celebrate her 21st birthday.
Here's some close up's I love that I've added a real peacock feather. I think it just adds to the whole glamourous look of the photo.
I also added glitter and pearls to the DSP, to give it a bit more depth. As you can see I've also added some stitched details.
If you're a already a member of CA I hope to see you play along, if not and you're interested then email me for details, or find us on Facebook.
Have a great week.

Pocket Book
I've so busy this week that this is the first chance I've had to post a photo of the online class I taught on Monday at Crafters Anonymous.
It's a little scrapbook, with some fancy folding inside to make some pockets for tags for the journalling. I haven't had chance to take a photo of the inside yet :-(
Tomorrow I'll be posting my next page for the next Crafters Anonymous Scrapbook Challenge.

Alice Pen Holder
This is Dee's class tonight over at Crafters Anonymous , a cool pen holder, I've covered the insides with modpodge to give a bit more durability. Then decorated it with Alice and the white rabbit.
This is perfect for my daughter's new desk, she's very pleased with it.

Halloween Card
Today at Crafters Anonymous Bek has shown us how to make a Tri Shutter card, I've always wanted a go at one of these but have been put off by the fancy folds and cuts, Bek made it real easy :-) I've made a Trick or treat card, I love how it's turned out.
I've used the halloween set from crafty Secrets to decorate it, as well as sponging the background, these cards are great for using a whole set of stamps LOL
I'm entering this card into the current challenge over at Simon Says Stamp where the current challenge is Halloween or Goth. The DT have created some stunning samples so make sure you go and check them out.

Vintage Spring tag
Over at Crafters Anonymous we are welcoming Spring, yep down here in the Southern Hemisphere Spring is definately on it's way. We've asked everyone to either use this SU set called Nature's Song or anything with a bird or spring theme. I'm also entering my tag at Fashionable Stamping Challenges where the theme is vintage.
I started by stamping the ATC with the bird and the egg images. then I've sponged the background. then for the base of the tag, I've stamped and sponged and distressed. Then I've added some pretty lace, flowers etc. I like how it's turned out, and I think the colours shout Spring.
