Carnival Dreaming

Over at Rogue Redhead designs this month the  Plate of the month is Carnival Dreams and that set is definately one of my all time favs.

I've also used Mardi Gras colours of Gold, Purple and Green which are our colours of the month at our Rogue Stampers group on Facebook- you should check that out if you haven't already.

Lovers Tag

Carnival Lovers tag

Here's my first Rogue Redhead Designs post of 2014, so what better way for me to start a Rogue year, with The Lovers from Carnival Dreams- regulars will know this is a fav of mine.

I already have Valentines Day on my mind :-)

I've gessoed the tag background and then applied a honeycomb template to the tag while the gesso is still wet and rubbed more gesso through- this gives the raised texture. I've then sponged and sprayed for the colour and layered the Lovers.

The Carnival Lovers Canvas

Today I'm sharing with you a canvas that I've created using the Lovers from Rogue Redhead Designs Carnival Dreams.

I have to admit I've gone all out Pink for this Canvas :-)

And I love it! I've given it to a friend as a little thank you for all her wonderful insights :-)

Carnival Lovers

I've made this for hubby- it's our anniversary next month. What could be more perfect than the lovers from Rogue Redhead Designs Carnival Dreams,  it's romantic and quirky. I think this might be another of my All time fav stamps lol.

I've stamped the background using Behind the Scene stamps: script and the music notes.

I have stamped directly onto the Kraft cardstock and inked with Walnut ink, to get an aged look. The sentiment is from the Snow Hugs set.

Carnival Dreams

I think this stamp set is probably my absolute fav of all the Rogue Redhead designs. It's called Carnival Dreams, I just love this particular stamp - The Lovers.

To create this one layer card, I sprayed with Dylusions inks, then stamped my images with black Staz On, and then coloured with prismacolor Pencils and Metallic pens.

I love how it's turned out.

Journal Page

I've been doing more with acrylic paint gesso and sprays recently both on canvas and in journals. Here's a page from today.

I started by gessoing and spraying with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist, and while still wet mixing in the  spray. I waited for this to completely dry. I then put the page face down on my craft sheet where there was some spray left from another project. I added tissue tape, which i coloured with Versa Colour ink pad and gold acrylic paint.
I stamped with stamps from Rogue Redhead Designs Carnival Dream set- the couple and stars.
I then sprayed some more, added a big streak of Arcylic paint which I dry heated with my heat tool, to create bubbles.
I then coloured and added my words with pens and markers.
