Chalkboard Card

I've been keen to try a Chalkboard card for a while now, I've used a handful of stamps from Rogue Redhead Designs  Relish Reading and Bits and Pieces.

Easy to achieve, I used a white ink pad and pencil on black cardstock. To make it a bit for feminine I added lace and bling.

Hope you're enjoying a good week.

Yellow and Blue make Green at Craft Room Challenge

Time Whizzes by, and as another fortnight passes it's time for a new challenge at juicy Craft Room Challenge, Zoe has given us a colour challenge:

We are going to be quite strict with this one, you may only use the colours YellowBlue & Green.   If you are using a support of those colours then it must be white, and the ink you stamp in must be either one of the three colours or black.   No other colours to sneak in please.

I often use green and blue, I felt spoilt for choice though- what to make?? In the end I went with a journal page, the colours have been built up with chalk pastels, acrylic paint and Dylusions Sprays. I used Distress Inks : Peeled paint and Faded Jeans, and Black Archival Ink and Stampin' Up white Craft ink pad.
Lot's of stamps and doodles on here too :-)

Yellow and Blue make Green, Journal page

Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Individuals, the prize is a stamp, a 6" x 6" dp pad and a glossy sheet of more images.

Have a great fortnight, make sure you check out the Dt work too :-)

Moo Cards

Our Current Rebel Challenge at Rogue Redhead Designs is all about Moo's I've been wanting to make some of these little chaps for a while, so this was the perfect chance.

I decided I liked the idea of sets of moos, which I would then add to Moo cards ;)  For my first trio, I used the yacht  from Beach Babes, and then popped the yacht in 3 different scenes, Summer seas, a storm and by Moonlight. I've then added them to a simple Kraft card base.

Next I did hearts:

For this Love duo, I stamped the hearts from Snow Hugs, and then coloured them with red and gold. I love how they turned out so lush, and added more red gold and black to form the card.

Check out the Rebel challenge post for more moos and details.

Summer's nearly Here?

Well, at least it is for my Northern Hemisphere friends, it sounds like Summer is upon you :-)
Here we are slowly moving into Winter on the whole it's been mild so far, but our Summer holiday seems like a dream now.

Maria has chosen our  theme this fortnight at Craft Room Challenge : Summer's Nearly Here or Summer's on it's way!
Our sponsor this week is Liz Welch of RareBird, Friendly Plastic fame, who's given us another great pack of this fun stuff to our winner.

I have a big stack of photos that I want to scrap of  our Summer Holiday, in January we walked the Queen Charlotte Track, it has to be one of the most stunning places in the world. So this theme even though I'm in my winter clothes, gave me the kick start I needed to do the first Layout.

It's a 12 x 12 layout, I used the new Prima Engraver papers, they are versatile and yummy! Not masses of fussy details, cause I wanted the photos to do the talking, but I did stamp some of the images from Stampers Anonymous Tiny Things stamp set in black Archival ink, and then fussy cut them out, and attached them with foam tape. I also added some Prima Engraver Fabric and Washi tape, gotta love that stuff, for quick easy detailing. (all supplies from Art of Craft).

Please check out the Dt's work at the Craft Room, cause they're really diverse this week :-)
Have a great week.

Gatsby Fever

I've always loved the clean sleek elegant lines of Art Deco style, and with the new film Gatsby now hitting our big screens, I feel a bit of Gatsby Fever hitting. Check out my Gatsby Board on Pinterest if you want a taste ;-)

Gatsby Cards

I'm currently rereading the book, and enjoying it very much. Soooooo I was really excited to see that the Gecko Galz releases this month include Gatsby Papers and the Cats Meow (another fav film)  collage images.

The Gatsby papers work perfectly with The Cats meow Flapper images. So glam! I've added glitter paper, glitter, pearls and lace to really glam it up- this black and cream card is my fav.

Check out the Gecko Galz site, cause there's some cute freebies this month,  and every week during June leanne is giving away more freebies with purchases :-)
